Born and brought up in Glasgow, Brian McGeachan wrote for Seven Days, The Big Issue and Glasgow Evening Times. He later worked at The New York Daily News and The Boston Globe. Returning to Scotland he contributed to The Herald and Scotland on Sunday, and wrote two books: The Cardinal and They Rose Again. He has authored the forthcoming book: Jimmy Reid: Walking with History. Brian is currently completing a novel based on his experiences in New York.
