BREEKS ON NEALE HANVEY’S MOVE.
With some reservations, I broadly support this. I commented two or three days ago that Neale Hanvey needed to plant his feet in Scotland’s red sovereignty, not seek a permission through Westminster’s white sovereignty. I commented two or three days ago that Neale Hanvey needed to plant his feet in Scotland’s red sovereignty, not seek a permission through Westminster’s white sovereignty. To a significant and reasonable extent, I think he’s doing that.
But, (and to be unfair to Mr Hanvey for a moment), let us be clear that what we have is so far, no more onerous than Iain Blackford defiantly declaring “Scotland will not be dragged out of Europe against it’s will”. The important bit is what happens next? When push came to shove for Mr Blackford, he did absolutely nothing when Scotland was dragged out of Europe, and earned himself the title Blah Blah Blackford.
I am encouraged to believe Neale Hanvey is NOT another Blackford, and there is steely commitment and determination behind Mr Hanvey’s Bill. I am greatly heartened too that his Bill has the support of Joanna Cherry, Angus MacNeil and Douglas Chapman. I’m very excited and curious to see what happens next.
The inevitable histrionics and playground tantrums we can expect from the nuSNP really don’t interest me at all, but I’m a little intrigued to see what Westminster says and does. I am most intrigued by what Mr Hanvey has planned to do next when his Bill inevitably fails.
I very much hope he doesn’t meekly resume his seat Iain Blackford style, but has strategic plans for what to do next, and the route he has planned to escalate the inevitable failure of his Bill into a full blown Constitutional crisis which Westminster cannot resolve.
It’s a positive initiative for Scotland, at long last, and I thank Neale Hanvey for it, and I also express deep appreciation for the 3 SNP supporters.
How utterly sad and perverse it is to think of Cherry, MacNeil and Chapman as SNP “rebels” because they break the party line to support a long overdue defence of Scotland’s Constitutional integrity.
The rest of the SNP should be ashamed of themselves, and every one of them needs to have a wee lie down in a darkened room, and have a wee think to themselves. Maybe best make that a “slightly” darkened room, because I’m not sure I’d trust “that lot” with the lights off.
MY COMMENTS
This was good to witness, not least because it displayed that at least three SNP members recalled why they were elected and were prepared to put Scotland first by joining with the ALBA MP’S and Independent MP Margaret Ferrier. This Sovereign Six stood together to argue Scotland’s case. Neale Hanvey recorded in Hansard for the first time Salvo’s argument that Scotland did NOT join a territorial Union in 1707, merely a economic and political union. That will cause ructions in the very near future. Westminster must be wondering what is happening, increasingly they hear more and more about the Claim of Right and now the fact that they lack a territorial union begins to surface. How long before the ramifications of that ramp up ? Not long is my reply and expectation.
I am, as always

BEAT THE CENSORS
Regretfully there are some among us who seek to censor what others read. Sadly within the YES movement there are sites which claim to be pro Indy but exist to only promote one Party and will not publish articles which come from bloggers who don’t slavishly support that Party to the exclusion of the rest of the YES movement. I ask readers who support free speech to share articles from Yours for Scotland as often as possible as this defeats the effectiveness of the censors.
FREE SUBSCRIPTIONS
Free subscriptions are available on the Home and Blog pages of this site. This allows, for an email of each article to your Inbox and that is now how several thousands get my articles each day. This avoids problems that some have experienced gaining access from Twitter and Facebook. You will be very welcome to choose whatever route works best for you.
SALVO
The work and important development of Salvo has been a beacon of hope in 2022 and as it develops Salvo is creating campaigning hubs throughout Scotland. Salvo will join with Liberation.Scot and as the campaigning arm of Liberation we are looking at very effective campaigns kicking off very early this year and introducing some new campaigning methods as well as those that have worked well in the past. This requires money so all donations to this site, once the running costs are covered, will go to support the work of Salvo/ Liberation. I think you will see it well used and effective.
LIBERATION.SCOT
We are seeking to build Liberation.Scot to at least 100,000 signatures just as quickly as we can. This is part of our plan to win recognition as an official Liberation Movement via the United Nations. We intend to internationalise our battle to win Independence and through the setting up of our Scottish National Congress will prepare and develop our arguments to win progress in the International Courts. Please help by signing up at Liberation.Scot. It is from those who sign up to Liberation.Scot that the membership of the SNC will be created by ballot.
