A PLAN TO DESTROY THE YES MOVEMENT

Independence for Scotland represents a big danger to Westminster. It risks huge political consequences endangering perhaps even the UK’s permanent seat on the UN Security Council but certainly a loss of status across the World. A risk that is also likely to involve moves to reunite the island of Ireland either before or shortly after the Scottish departure. To be seen as a state in decline and disintegration is something to avoid if it is humanly possible.

Numerous attempts to kill off any drift towards Independence have been applied, controlling the MSM offers the opportunity of a constant stream of negative publicity, a tactic the Westminster Government have not been slow to exploit with the State Broadcaster at the forefront of that effort. That was true until recently when it has become very evident that those pressures have eased. Newspapers that were virulent opposers of the SNP and Scottish Government have eased off in a major way.

Many like to associate this easing off with the grant of £3 million pounds of taxpayers money that was gifted to the Scottish MSM by the Scottish Government. While it might have helped I think there is a much deeper explanation that we need to be aware of. A much more dangerous plan that would explain a lot of what has been happening in Scottish politics these days. I warn you now SNP supporters are not going to like what comes next but I can substantiate my case with a host of examples that support my suspicions and which are inexplicable otherwise.

Let me pose this scenario to you. Despite huge efforts since 2014 there remains in Scotland a substantial residual support for Independence. All the evidence suggests Unionist parties in Scotland are in a broken state having lost the trust of the Scottish people. They are weak and unpopular. Hoping to stave off Independence by creating a much more popular Unionist Party, capable of replacing the SNP, have failed and look doomed to failure in the foreseeable future. A new plan was needed. A new approach.

However it came about there now appears to be an accommodation between the SNP Government and the Westminster Government where in return for not pushing the Independence Agenda, thereby posing no threat to the Union, the SNP government have an accommodation as the colonial administration that allows them free reign in Scotland.

To make sure no risk to the Union the SNP leadership have set out intentionally to weaken and divide the YES movement. Critical to this was eliminating the risk of alternative leadership. It was this that was the motivation for the Salmond stich up as friends and supporters of Nicola Sturgeon were organised to plot and conjure up a list of spurious charges. This was urgently required because the Scottish Government defence against Mr Salmond’s actions in demanding a judicial review was collapsing around the Government’s ears to the point that they were forced to concede the case in Mr Salmond’s favour. This after their legal counsel refused to continue representing them because of the withholding and manipulation of evidence.This premature collapse did not save them the wrath of the judge who publicly condemned their actions as “tainted with apparent bias” before awarding Mr Salmond the highest level of compensation possible to cover his legal costs. 

It became necessary to keep Mr Salmond silent on the whole story. The solution was the raft of false charges, made up largely by friends and colleagues of the First Minister aided and abetted by senior SNP officials. Worried that there was a gap between the collapse of the Government defence against Salmond and the criminal case getting underway the list of charges against Mr Salmond were maliciously leaked to the Daily Record from within the Scottish Government. To date the police have been unable to identify the culprit, a failure that astounds many of us given the small number of people who had access to this information and the known links between the journalist concerned and the First Minister’s office.

Another factor that requires explanation is the exceptional cooperation between the Crown Office and the SNP Government that became a hallmark of the Inquiry. The readiness of the Crown Office to redact large tranches of testimony and evidence. It has only recently became public knowledge that much of what was redacted did not risk identifying the alphabet women even though that was the justification made at the time. Only this week the Scotsman revealed that this cooperation is now extended to attempted cover up and restrict details of the police investigation into the missing £600k. This level of protection seems very strange for a Party seeking Independence, Quite the opposite of what would normally be expected.

Likewise the SNP membership also required close control. This was achieved by a takeover of the policy agenda, a ruthless removal of branch and member input, strict stage managed conferences, the abolition of National Council, a system where appointed positions outvoted elected delegates to the NEC. TACTICS INCLUDED SPENDING ANY CASH RESERVES THAN MIGHT ENABLE OR ENCOURAGE MOVES TO A REFERENDUM.

In recent times the Scottish Government while conveniently abandoning all moves to advance the case for Independence have been busily engaged on taking forward the Stonewall agenda, introducing very controversial sex education programmes into schools and most recently “guidance” to every school in the country not to interfere or advise parents of any child, even as young as four years of age, showing signs to wanting to change their gender. They know such guidance will greatly concern parents. They know how hugely divisive this is. They have no care about this, if Stonewall want it they get it. It does not end there.

Rape Crisis Scotland, recently funded with millions more of taxpayers money make public their view that if a woman who has recently been raped expresses the view they would prefer to be interviewed or examined by a woman rather than a man then they will be viewed as a bigot and can be expected to be reprimanded by staff for holding such a view. This from a person who secured the job by false disguise and is now the CEO of the Rape Crisis Centre in Edinburgh having being unsuccessful in winning nomination as a SNP candidate from an all woman selection list. Far from criticism they now hold a promoted post.

Westminster must love this, by building and implementing the Stonewall agenda, hiding the results of public consultations that reveal strong opposition to this agenda they are splitting the Yes Movement asunder. After years of failing to destroy the Yes Movement from the outside they are now enjoying great success. The Union’s little helpers in the form of the First Minister, Shirley Anne Shambles and Humza Useless are wrecking all forms of unity through driving through the Hate Crime Bill and GRA against the wishes of a big majority of Scots. Freedom of Speech and Choice are under severe attack as these despots seek to impose their will by bullying and cajoling acceptance.

Staff in the NHS are “encouraged” to wear rainbow badges and can face reprimand for not doing so, teachers face guidance that they must not interfere if children, even as young as four, start displaying an interest in transgender. Strict “guidance” that parents must NOT be advised. The idea that political control like this can become the norm is abhorrent to me. This is what happens in dictatorships, communist or fascist states. Where is the respect for teachers and nurses, their rights to freedom of choice? Who gave Holyrood the right to demand compliance in this way?. It is a gross misuse of power particularly as it is accompanied with an implied indication that negative impressions could result in career impacts or future funding decisions.

This is all a huge turnoff to many people and provides a future impression of an oppressive, over regulated Independent Scotland overburdened by aggressive state control over our lives, where freedom of speech and choice are secondary to the State’s wishes. 

The above is not the type of Scotland, independent or otherwise, I and many other Scots like me would like to live in. If it is allowed to further develop then Westminster has nothing to fear, very few will be contemplating Independence any time soon.

The SNP leadership, tied to a Stonewall agenda, are doing more to protect the Union than anyone thought possible. Their remaining supporters who express “concerns” and “ have questions” are doing Scotland enormous harm by staying loyal to this growing cancer.

I have never been more concerned, or uncertain of where our fight for Independence is taking us. This is a very dangerous time where basic freedoms, that until now I always thought safe in Scotland, are being directly challenged and overwritten.

I only hope Scots wake up to it soon, before we sleepwalk into a real disaster.
