The Leadership Election Week 3

It would not be a normal week without further evidence on how the SNP Leadership are fiddling the rules to benefit the “continuity candidate”. For that read Mr Silent Lips because make no mistake that is why he has the overwhelming support of the guilty…sorry leadership. He has taken the vow to keep the pretence going long enough to cover the escape route of those who have abandoned their posts as the myriad of serious problems closed in on them.

This weeks example comes from the Clydesdale constituency where the local MSP Ms McAllan organised a “conversation with Humza” which excluded the other candidates despite the rules stating that no event can be organised unless all three candidates are invited. Ms McAllan defence is that a “conversation” is not an event. Such are the rules flexibility that is applied when it’s Mr Silent Lips that is to benefit.

There was a hustings near me in Johnstone on Wednesday night. Surprisingly there were empty seats despite the story that it was sold out. Disappointingly none of the candidates have any answer to what happens when Westminster says no to either a referendum or negotiations on Independence. It is about time they develop one as it’s not a good idea to be so weak in this department. I suspect it is a confidence thing, none of the candidates being brave enough to take out and defend an alternative strategy to the disappointments of the last eight years. For many members it is a big letdown and sort of kills any thought that this leadership election might rejuvenate the Movement.

The most astonishing news of the week was that the SNP approached and invited the spooks at GCHQ to provide advice and supervise the arrangements of the election, no doubt to stop Russian or North Korean hackers interfering with their plan to elect Humza Yousaf. My guess is they will be in charge of the tens of thousands of ghost members and will provide the software to make each vote appear to come from a different IP address. They don’t want any rerun of the National readers poll when huge numbers of votes for Humza originated “ from a building near Holyrood”.

No point in infiltrating the SNP these days, just ask for the front door keys and they shall be provided. I can only guess that the defence for this apparent madness is that the Murrells have a “secret plan” which will be revealed in due course. There must surely be no other radical independence movement in the World that has come up with such novel tactics. Stewart McDonald, Alyn Smith etc are earning their keep right enough!

Another dodge revealed this week was we finally found out the reason for the ridiculous financial limit of only £5000 for each candidate to finance their campaign. A figure for a campaign across the whole of Scotland and which made it impossible for two of the candidates to pay staff or create any organisation.

We then learned that many SNP staffers discovered they had “holidays” nobody knew they had and worse a key SNP staffer had their contract “ suspended” allowing them all to join Hamza’s campaign. That is the “ fairness” you can expect from today’s NEC AND CEO.

One of the highlights for me was Humza’s claim on STV that he was responsible for the construction of the Queensferry Crossing and for bringing it in under budget. The construction of the bridge started in 2011 when the tendering was complete, the contracts issued and construction began, Humza became the Transport Minister in 2016 so a lot of water had flowed under the bridge before he got anywhere near it. Worse ,soon after he arrived the bridge suffered its longest delay. It finally opened in 2017. This is a surprising boast for him to use after all it was Alex Salmond’s Government that put together the bridge proposals and got the construction underway. I hoped he had checked with Nicola before moving on to this dangerous subject. I am pretty sure his instructions were that nothing much happened anywhere in Scotland until the Murrells came along.

I hope SNP MEMBERS who do not want Humza realise the crucial importance of using their vote to support both female candidates. Transfer voting could be crucial in the final stage although if I am honest I am very concerned that sufficient ghost votes will be used to nullify any other candidate. I remain astonished that not a single MSM journalist has made any attempt to investigate the blatant match fixing that is apparent in this contest. Then I remember the millions of taxpayers money donated to their coffers by Nicola’s Government.

There is still a few weeks to go. Who knows what will become apparent in that time? I am told, and I would stress this is rumour only, that the next steps in the fraud investigation will not happen until this election is over. This might make sense because if the ghost voters are used then new charges could be added, he wrote hopefully!

The UK Government has passed new legislation that “legalises illegal activities” if it can be demonstrated to be in the best interests of the UK economy or security. What could be more in the UK’s economic interest that keeping the cash cow that is Scotland within the Union?

Who knows what explains GCHQ’s involvement in the election, is it a precursor, perhaps Nicola’s next job may be as M?

I am, as always

YOURS FOR SCOTLAND

BEAT THE CENSORS

Regretfully there are some among us who seek to censor what others read. Sadly within the YES movement there are sites which claim to be pro Indy but exist to only promote one Party and will not publish articles which come from bloggers who don’t slavishly support that Party to the exclusion of the rest of the YES movement. I ask readers who support free speech to share articles from Yours for Scotland as often as possible as this defeats the effectiveness of the censors.

FREE SUBSCRIPTIONS

Free subscriptions are available on the Home and Blog pages of this site. This allows, for an email of each article to your Inbox and that is now how several thousands get my articles each day. This avoids problems that some have experienced gaining access from Twitter and Facebook. You will be very welcome to choose whatever route works best for you.

SALVO

The work and important development of Salvo has been a beacon of hope in 2022 and as it develops Salvo is creating campaigning hubs throughout Scotland. Salvo will join  with Liberation.Scot and as the campaigning arm of Liberation we are looking at very effective campaigns kicking off very early this year and introducing some new campaigning methods as well as those that have worked well in the past. This requires money so all donations to this site, once the running costs are covered, will go to support the work of Salvo/ Liberation. I think you will see it well used and effective.

LIBERATION.SCOT

We are seeking to build Liberation.Scot to at least 100,000 signatures just as quickly as we can. This is part of our plan to win recognition as an official Liberation Movement via the United Nations. We intend to internationalise our battle to win Independence and through the setting up of our Scottish National Congress will prepare and develop our arguments to win progress in the International Courts. Please help by signing up at Liberation.Scot. It is from those who sign up to Liberation.Scot that the membership of the SNC will be created by ballot.

Yours for Scotland Welcome to my long-awaited blog page. Friends have been urging me to do this for years but the technology frightened me. Now thanks to Dave Beveridge and my oldest daughter Laura I am finally in business. This blog will be totally pro-Independence for Scotland and I hope to comment on all the topical issues of the day using a bit of humour and controversy wherever I can. I hope you find it an entertaining and informative read and will recommend it to your friends. www.yoursforscotlandcom.wordpress.com
