TWO RIP OFF’S
As I survey the Scottish political ground it can be a very disturbing scene. The SNP have made a huge mess of things with not even a flicker of light indicating anything other than complete darkness ahead.
The missing £670,000 was bad enough but now stories of tens of thousands of pounds in cash being handed over to a senior official, which according to reports was never recorded in the Party accounts, has brought into question the power of HQ in the selection process. Another power grab from the ordinary membership creating the ability for the central power, or at least a small group of them to “influence” the selection procedures. I think that is what you call it when you can exclude candidates, usually local ones, who might have a level of local popularity that might interfere with the central authority being able to place a favoured candidate in any constituency.
It is becoming increasingly difficult for the cultists to maintain there is nothing wrong. People affected by this process are now going public and I am aware of at least one other constituency that has already experienced this level of interference. I am unaware of whether money changed hands, I don’t think it did , but I know for certain that selection interference happened in that constituency at the last Scottish elections. It split the constituency asunder and what should have been an easy victory ended as an electoral setback.
What annoys me about all this was that I, and others, were warning about this long before it happened pointing to Angus Robertson’s constitutional amendments as being responsible for this centralisation of power into very few hands. As ordinary members lost power and influence the level of crucial transparency and accountability were diminished creating the “ opportunity” for these sort of problems to emerge. And emerge they have.
Damage limitation moves are already warning that the soon to be released Party accounts, from the new accountants, will include a warning qualification where they state that proper records do not exist for some donations, raffles etc. This announcement coming from the Party in advance of the full accounts being published. As someone who was once responsible for the entire Party’s fundraising and administration I find that news astonishing given the huge rise in staffing since my time. Surely any responsible management realises the crucial need for transparency in any largely voluntary organisation.( or at least it used to be).
The folly of having all the eggs in the one Party basket leaves Scotland impotent to the constant mission creep from Westminster. Today’s charade with King Charles visit to Edinburgh is another example, where every effort will be made to present Charles as already King of Scotland. This has been bizarrely welcomed by the First Minister, despite him knowing that Charles has not sworn the Scottish oath and is therefore not the King in Scotland. A title that does not legally exist. Our monarch is titled King of Scots and it requires a pledge to acknowledge and respect the sovereignty of the Scottish people and a solemn promise to protect the rents and privileges on behalf of the people. Without it he is no Monarch of Scots or Scotland.Charles cannot swear this oath as it would expose the crime of our oil and gas, our renewables all being stolen from the sovereign people of Scotland to fill Westminster’s coffers, all following on from the “Union of the Crowns in 1603”, an event that never happened. A myth that enables the Crown to seize all Scotland’s assets. All that happened was that Scotland’s King also became King of England. A single monarch but with two crowns, not one.
We can be certain of this for two reasons, firstly neither the Monarch or Parliament ever held the power to make deals involving the Scottish crown. They never owned it in the first place. Secondly think about it, this was happening 104 years BEFORE the Treaty of Union. There was no United Kingdom. Scotland and England were separate independent countries. Why would an Independent Scotland surrender the Crown of Scotland?
Ask yourself if the Crowns were United and the Scottish Crown extinguished why are there two Crown Offices? The Crown Office in England and Wales stops at the border and a separate Crown Office in Scotland is required to administer Scotland’s wealth. They can’t even call it the Scottish Crown Office because it’s necessary to maintain the ruse that Scotland’s Crown does not exist. But exist it does because legally in terms of International law the UK is not a “ voluntary union” but in practice an illegal annexation by England of Scotland’s resources.
They have no choice but to have two Crown offices because they need different rules to enable the theft to operate. In England the Monarch has the rights over every asset. This cannot be challenged but in Scotland these assets belong to the Sovereign people of Scotland. So they created a separate “Crown Office in Scotland” supposedly acting like a trustee on behalf of the people and it is this which they use to illegally plunder our resources.
So when I see the hapless Humza Yousaf supposedly heading a “nationalist Government” in Scotland kowtowing to the imposter who claims to be our Monarch I feel nothing but contempt for his lack of fight, of courage, of principle to defend the Scottish people and for allowing a rich nation like Scotland to have widespread child poverty in our midst, an energy cost crisis in the richest energy producing nation in Europe, and a cost of living crisis that is harming families the length and breadth of this country. Our Crown illegally used to keep our people poor!
Put simply we need to elect people with backbone and at least a rudimentary understanding of how our people are being fleeced in front of our eyes.
Humza, you need not apply.
I am, as always
Yours for Scotland.
BEAT THE CENSORS
Sadly some websites seek to censor what their readers have access to read. This is particularly true of sites whose existence is primarily to support the views of one particular party and they seek to block articles which do not slavishly support that particular doctrine. My readers have worked out that the best way to defeat that attack on the freedom of speech and thought is to share my articles widely, thus defeating any attempt at censorship. My thanks for this.
SALVO AND LIBERATION
Are playing a crucial role in taking Independence forward. This site limits donations to Yours for Scotland to a maximum of £3. We do not need more as all we seek to do is to cover the costs incurred in running the blog therefore once this is secured each year all further donations are forwarded to Salvo and Liberation. My thanks for all who choose to support us in this way. It is appreciated.
