BREEKS ON WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN.

This Windsor Agreement, (I haven’t seen it yet), has evolved from the Northern Irish Protocol, which came directly from the Northern Irish Backstop, which came from a clause in the Good Friday Agreement, and International Peace Treaty, which stipulated there could be no return of Border Infrastructure in Northern Ireland.

It is INEXCUSABLE that Sturgeon’s SNP armed with an emphatic 62% democratic rejection of Brexit augmented by the Claim of Right could not fashion a Scottish Backstop, based upon the International Treaty of Union, and Brexit’s subjugation of a constitutionally sovereign Nation. 

It is small change indeed to all of a sudden be lobbying for “comparable status” for Scotland to match Northern Ireland, when the only reason we didn’t secure a Scottish Backstop was because the inept and cowardly SNP capitulated in 2016 and abandoned the Claim of Right. 

While on the subject; A Scottish Backstop would not have evolved into a Northern Irish style protocol. A Scottish Backstop would have cemented Scotland’s refusal to leave Europe, rendering Brexit undeliverable, and thus Brexit annulled, or requiring an English nation which still demanded exit from Europe to leave the UK Treaty of Union by their own volition.

If England forced Brexit, and Scotland forced Remain, the Treaty of Union would not have survived the irreconcilable Constitutional standoff. 

If Scotland’s sovereign Remain vote sunk Brexit, the ramification would be Scotland enjoyed a sovereign veto over the democratic will of Westminster and England, and we can be sure the Treaty of Union would not have survived that. 

If Scotland’s Remain vote was subjugated by the will of England, this unconstitutional act of subjugation should have frozen the EU’s capacity to agree a Brexit Negotiated Conclusion, because Brexit was not lawful under Scots Law. Barnier all but waved this requirement in Scotland’s face but still the SNP did nothing.

If Brexit happened, (subject to the above being somehow reconciled to allow it), had Scotland come to enjoy status similar to the Northern Irish protocol, then the UK would have a hard border running between Scotland and England, and that by itself constitutes a breach of the Articles of Union, so the Treaty of Union is once again breached, and the EU stymied by a solution that was unconstitutional according to the Treaty of Union.

There is ONE reason the Treaty of Union survived Brexit, and that reason is Nicola Sturgeon’s criminal abdication of the Claim of Right, and capitulating to the will of Westminster. It is on her head. When Scotland had to fight for it’s defence, Nicola Sturgeon was nowhere to be seen. 

To all those now full of gumption to fight for parity between Scotland and NI, where were you when in mattered, back in 2016? Where was the fight and outrage for Scotland’s Backstop, back when it had such massive constitutional ramifications? Nowhere. 

Sturgeon’s feckless incompetence is THE reason Scotland was drummed out of Europe contrary to the will of Scotland’s sovereign people, and in direct violation of the Claim of Right. 

The SNP should stand up and own it. It is their greatest dereliction of responsibility and dwarfs all the others combined. 

Own it? Fat chance. If that wasn’t enough of a humbling disgrace, the SNP’s response to the invasive doctrines of the UK Supreme Court subjugating the will of Scotland’s sovereign people and violating the Claim of Right was another capitulation from Sturgeon and the white flag of surrender flown over Scotland. 

Yet this is the SNP we expect to lead the campaign for Independence? 

Both Holyrood and the Scottish “Government” should be impeached for abrogation of the Claim of Right and selling out Scotland’s constitutional rights, with those responsible put on trial for High Treason… but hey, that’s just my opinion.

MY COMMENTS

As we watch the current SNP Leadership farce develop in front of our eyes we witness just how corrupt that organisation has become. Ash Regan faced criticism for saying they had lost their way. They are so far away from a principled and honourable route to Independence as can be imagined. Mired in a Woke agenda which no members of the Party have ever been allowed to debate on, or vote, they have split the YES Movement asunder. They should be ashamed of themselves having discarded the work of all previous generations of their Party in favour of a bizarre biology denying agenda that is alienating huge sections of the electorate.
