Dear Editor,
The UK corporate media’s gaslighting of Scotland underscores our colonial status within this supposedly united kingdom. There is no Scottish-owned media outlet which explains the uniformly anti-Scottish and pro-unionist coverage to which Scots are subjected daily.
The powerful right-wing tax-allergic corporate owners are happy to subsidise failing media businesses because they can buy the agenda. The massively over-centralised BBC, the British State mouthpiece funded by the regressive license fee, doesn’t spend as much in Scotland as it takes in license fees. So, like so much else, Scotland is subsidising England.
Media coverage of Scotland’s NHS is full of anti-Scottish bias. Recent Royal College of Radiologist reports on the UK cancer treatment workforce show Tory-run England, Labour-run Wales and Northern Ireland to be worse than Scotland on every measure.[1] Scottish cancer patients have the shortest treatment waiting times in the UK.[2]
Did you know NHS England spends 60% more on temporary staff than NHS Scotland?[3] Or that where lives are at risk, Scotland treats patients 14 times more quickly than England, has better A&E response times,[4]provides more hospital beds, doctors, nurses, midwives, dentists and health visitors per head of population than England?[5]
Probably not. Scotland’s better performance within the UK is never covered by the mainstream media or unionists like Alex Cole-Hamilton, Ian Murray and Jackie Baillie.
Like an abusive partner, a coloniser gaslights their colony to destabilise and deligitimise its confidence and beliefs – think of the ‘Scottish cringe’. To end the abuse, we need to end the union.

The unrelenting attacks on Margaret Ferrier, Rutherglen and Hamilton MP, because she took a train from London to Scotland while infected with Covid are the height of hypocrisy.
Charles Windsor travelled to Scotland with an entourage of flunkies while shedding the virus enroute but, like escaping inheritance tax, he avoided any sanctions. Johnson and Sunak broke their own Covid rules but were fined just £50.
An interesting question is why the SNP has turned so viciously against Ferrier? 14 SNP MPs voted for her suspension and the party will spend scarce money to join with unionists to promote a recall petition that will virtually guarantee they lose the seat to English Labour. What a cunning plan.
The SNP has abandoned Scotland in favour of collaboration with the colonial power. It has used its position to feather its nest and pad its pensions while taking the People down a blind alley. It has held the Scottish People back and attacked those deemed ‘too radical.’
Political parties have failed to liberate us from Westminster’s tyranny. It’s time to invert the power pyramid and put the People back in control.

AND LETTER THREE (PERHAPS THE MOST IMPORTANT)
Dear Editor,
On July 5, King Charles III of England, the only regnal title he can legitimately hold, will pay us a “royal visit” to “view the Honours of Scotland”.
The UK government and the palace are desperate this visit not be viewed as a “second coronation”, because it would demolish the myth that there is a “King of the United Kingdom”.
The event will try to convey that King Charles III of England is already King of Scotland, but he can’t be for two reasons.
First, there has never been nor can there be a “King of Scotland” because the People, not a monarch, are sovereign. Second, Charles III can’t become King of Scots without taking the Scottish Oath, referenced in the 1689 Claim of Right and required by Scots law for a legitimate monarch.
That oath binds him to uphold and never transfer or undermine the rights, rents and privileges of the Scottish Crown. The Scottish Crown is different from the English. It represents the sovereignty of the People of Scotland. Rather than the People swearing fealty to him as under the English Crown, he must swear it to the People.
That’s a problem for England. That nation is currently looting our territorial assets in right of the English Crown – as if they had grabbed the Crown of Scotland along with everything else they got through their ‘treaty’! But they didn’t.
Charles is between a rock and a hard place: take the oath and expose the looting for what it is, or go on pretending to be king of Scots in defiance of Scots law as ratified in the condition for the Union, the Claim of Right.

The letters published above are only a small sample of the excellent letters Leah produces every week and has an excellent record of getting many of them published in the Edinburgh Evening News, Scotsman and even the Herald. Hopefully more Yes supporters will follow her example. We need a lot about Charles’s visit. It is a great opportunity to educate our people on the true nature of the Scottish Crown. Well done Leah!

BEAT THE CENSORS
Sadly some websites seek to censor what their readers have access to read. This is particularly true of sites whose existence is primarily to support the views of one particular party and they seek to block articles which do not slavishly support that particular doctrine.
